Are you a Group Buy Groupie?

With irresistible deals and the abundance of Group Buy sites, being a Group Buy Groupie (or Daily Deal Groupie) is becoming a normal way of life for many people.

So what is a Group Buy Groupie? A Group Buy Groupie is a highly dedicated Group Buyer who buys large amounts of vouchers (almost daily) to fulfill their purchasing needs, especially when it comes to food and meals.  With sites like Groupon, LivingSocial and a dozens of other sites offering deeply discounted meal vouchers, it usually ends up being the same price or cheaper to eat out than to prepare a meal at home.  It is also a great way to get to know the city and try new restaurants with less financial risk.

Another category that Group Buy Groupies exploit are fitness memberships where Groupies purchase vouchers to multiple health clubs then move from one location to another to avoid signing up for an annual membership, while having access to a gym for next to nothing. And who can forget the unbelievable spa deals where you can get a millionaire’s massage or a super luxe manicure at an affordable rate.

So what’s involved in becoming a Group Buy Groupie?  Not a whole lot.  In fact, it’s as simple as taking a few minutes every morning to take a look at the daily deals for the area and deciding whether any of the deals can be used to ‘replace’ a purchase.  In the end, being a Groupie allows people to replace future full-price purchases with low-cost vouchers, and depending on the deal, spoil themselves like a six figure doctor, without having a six figure salary.
