It's Official, with buyout of Astral, Bell Media now owns Astral Radio Deals

Now that the buyout of Astral Media by Bell is official, all Astral Assets are also part of the Bell family. This includes the deals program from Astral names Astral Radio Deals.

The program is a successful program operating across the country. Publishing deals every Wednesday for the listeners of the Radio Stations that Astral operated. Now that Bell Media owns Astral Media, AstralRadioDeals has changed hands and is now called RADIODEALS.CA, from Bell Media.

Given the radio stations, TV channels and sympatico network that Bell Media owns, the promotion of RadioDeals.ca should prove successful as a viable advertising choice for Bell Media’s local merchant customers. Look for RadioDeals to creep up as a top deals destination in Canada over the upcoming year.

One thing we have a concern about is the brand and name of RadioDeals. A more generic name would enable better promotion to the general public and the online public, especially on Sympatico and on TV channels that Bell Media operates. We’ll eventually speak with someone at Bell Media to get more information on where they are headed.
