Nimble Commerce launches offer network.

Nimble Commerce launches offer network.

There are several Daily Deal commerce platforms on the market. Nimble commerce is one of the leading ones. In Canada, they operate the platforms for Tuango and Transcontinental Media among others. In the US, they also operate a large amount of publishers. Despite the enterprise features that Nimble has, there are certain functions and processes still missing from the Deals industry. According to Nimble Commerce, some of those pieces are about to be filled with the launch of what they are calling the Nimble Network.

In a nutshell, the NimbleNetwork has 2 parts: 1). gives Daily Deal publishers the ability to trade deals with each other, get commissions on deals they sell from other publishers and 2) also allows merchants to add their own deals into the network and invite Deal publishers to sell that deal.

Sure, Adility.com also has a deals network (not in Canada though) but Nimble Commerce brings all their publishers with them along with full integration with their commerce platform. One of the most costly and time consuming aspects of operating a Daily deals business is the attainment of merchants or deals. Now, through the NimbleNetwork, publishers can simply log in and select deals available for them to resell. Sure, they will make less commission on these deals, but that is better than not publishing a deal at all to their consumer database. This process also works for publishers who wish to sell more deals. Perhaps they did not sell a deal very well during the course of a campaign. In that case, they can publish the deal on the NimbleNetwork and allow other publishers to resell that deal. This process makes it a lot easier to sell and obtain deal inventory.

As for merchants, well, they can now simply add their proposed deals to the NimbleNetwork instead of dealing with dozens of Deal publishers at once. Once the deal is in the network, much like an affiliate program, publishers can select the deal to sell based on the parameters chosen. NimbleNetwork really acts as an affiliate network for the deals industry. It will be interesting to see how it evolves, especially in Canada where Nimble Commerce is the only Deals Network available across the country, giving the publishers who are on their platform an edge over others.

Here is the their official Press Release.

Publishers, deal suppliers, and merchants can now collectively promote offers and share revenue within the world’s largest e-commerce marketplace.

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – September 25, 2012 – NimbleCommerce, the largest enterprise offers and promotions platform, today announced the NimbleNetwork, a breakthrough new model for the daily offers and discount vouchers space.

The NimbleNetwork dissolves the inherent inefficiencies in the current daily deal business. Participants can leverage their respective strengths via an exchange, rather than spend large sums of money sourcing and distributing offers on their own.

“It’s getting harder and more expensive for daily deal businesses to source good quality, local deals off the ground; our Network provides a full daily deal service by using partners’ strengths, from deal sourcing to distribution,” said Prashant Nedungadi, founder and CEO of NimbleCommerce. “The NimbleNetwork will transform their standalone efforts into a far-reaching and successful marketing collective in which everyone benefits.”

Highly automated, yet easy to use

The NimbleNetwork operates as a streamlined marketplace for publishers, deal suppliers, and merchants to collectively find or promote offers and distribute revenue. Suppliers can easily add deals to the Network and choose the partner publishers that can re-sell these offers, thereby intrinsically changing the economics of the offer and voucher space. Partner publishers can view, bookmark, and reserve deals in a single click, then sell up to the maximum number of vouchers available.

The Network also provides targeted results that match buyer demographics and purchasing behavior to the right deals as well as powerful, readily visible reporting tools so that publishers can gain visibility into the offers sold across the network.

Major customers on board

Major companies, including Cumulus Media, Inc. (SweetJack.com) and Hearst Media’s San Francisco Chronicle (Dailydeals.SFgate.com) in the United States and Johnston Press (DealMonster.co.uk) and Trinity Mirror (Happli.co.uk) in the U.K., are already trading offers via the NimbleNetwork. The result is a lucrative new model for marketing and e-commerce that is sustainable and holds boundless advantages for all involved.

The NimbleNetwork is available in beta today. Participation is available to publishers and suppliers as one of the benefits of being a NimbleCommerce customer.
