About CDA
AI tools. One-person businesses. What actually works — and what to skip.
What This Site Is
CDA covers the intersection of AI technology and independent work — how individuals and small operators can use the latest tools to build income, run leaner businesses, and spend less on the software they already pay for.
The AI tool market is loud. Every week brings new products, inflated benchmarks, and marketing built around buzzwords. This site cuts through that. We look at what tools actually do, who they are genuinely useful for, and whether the price makes sense relative to what you get.
What We Cover
- AI tool reviews — ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Jasper, and others. Honest assessments of what each tool does well, where it falls short, and who should be paying for it.
- One-person business & AI — How solo operators use AI to replace entire functions: writing, research, customer communication, code, design. What a single person can realistically build with current tools.
- New tools coverage — The AI landscape changes fast. We track what is genuinely new versus what is marketing noise, and explain what emerging tools are actually capable of.
- Saving on digital subscriptions — Annual vs monthly billing, overlapping tools, and eliminating fees most people do not know they are paying. Prices shown in CAD for convenience.
- AI basics — Plain-English explanations for people new to AI tools. No jargon, no assumed knowledge.
The Point of View
The most interesting thing happening in technology right now is not the tools themselves — it is what one person can do with them. A solo operator with the right AI stack can research, write, build, market, and support customers at a scale that previously required a team. That changes the economics of independent work fundamentally.
This site is written from that perspective. Not enterprise software evaluation. Not consumer tech enthusiasm. The question we are always asking is: does this tool actually change what one person can do — and is it worth what it costs?
